My Murder

My Murder is based on a true story, which was made into a single drama. The narrative includes murder, a love affair, betrayal and street life. The linear narrative is about teenage girl who makes a young boy fall in love with her, it has been called the 'honey trap killing' and he dies due to this unexpected twist. Shakilus Townsend who is only a teenager who has been murdered in real life for falling in love with a girl he thought loved him back.

The ending is closed because it is a single drama. The narrative is restricted because we find things out as the main character does. The story has suspense as it builds up and the end is shocking. The drama starts with his death and then the narrative builds up to how this happened. It is emotional and real. It has a variety of shot sizes that build up the narrative which keeps the audience interested. Low angles are used when Shakilus is being stabbed, which give his point of view. Handheld camera are used to create a more realistic feel. High angles look down on Shakilus on the floor making him look small and vunerable.
